I worked at a Midlands based digital agency for my 40 Week degree placement. This both enhanced my IT skills as well as providing vital experience in a working technology environment. Whilst at the agency I fulfilled a variety of roles including; website population and testing, server and IT maintenance and general client project support. I was also a key member of the team that audited the company's technology systems and architecture and recommended changes which resulted in the company obtaining Cyber Essentials Certification. The agency's clients included PLC organizations, museums, art galleries as well as the NHS and several national surgical societies.

In my final year of my degree I'm expected to complete a project to demonstrate my skills I have learnt through my time at university and my placement year. My chosen project is to help SME's who don't have a great technical understanding of the requirements for Cyber Essentials. The aim is to develop a web app to help them gain a better understanding of what is required and how to achieve the certification for their benefit.
